CORE School’s
Transforming a Trust's digital presence
CORE Education Trust sponsors four Birmingham schools: Arena Academy, City Academy, JQ Academy, and Rockwood Academy. The Trust aims to change lives and create bright futures through its values—collaboration, opportunity, respect, and excellence—while supporting students, staff, and families.
After a recent rebrand and the launch of a new website by Luke Tongue and Made by Glass, CORE Education Trust wanted to extend this fresh look to its four schools. Our task was to bring the brand to life across these websites, ensuring consistency, usability, and a clear alignment with the Trust’s values and goals.
We worked closely with the marketing team to map out the site structure and organise content. This ensured that information was easy to find and navigate for students, parents, and staff.
Once the content structure was set, we created wireframes to plan the layout and user flow. We then developed visual designs that captured the brand’s modern and engaging style.
To make managing the websites easier, we used WordPress multisite. This setup lets the Trust control all four school websites from one system. We created parent and customised child themes for each school, using their unique colour schemes to give them individual identities while maintaining a cohesive look.
The final product is a set of beautiful, easy-to-use websites that effectively communicate the Trust’s mission and values.
The CORE Education Trust team was pleased with the process and outcome. They particularly valued the collaborative approach, the user-friendly design, and the simplicity of updating and maintaining the website.
